Ganoderma Multipileum:

Ganoderma Multipileum: This wild and curious phenotype came our way via Ryan Paul Gates of Terrestrial Fungi. It has an incredibly fast colonization rate and tends to begin ‘antlering’ in the bag at week 3. The antlers seem to be a bit more pillowy and perhaps that's the 50:50 Soy:Oak we have it growing on, but it always presents in a beautiful quasi-bonsai zigzag formation. Whether you are growing this strain for living art or medicine, it just might be one of the easiest mushrooms to cultivate. Just knock and incubate until you are satisfied with the cluster of antlers, harvest and dry! Something to keep in mind when cultivating most Ganoderma varieties is the amount of substrate isn't all that important. While the ones above were on a 10lb block, we have seen as little as 2lbs of substrate for wild antigravity dreadlocked antler formations in the sealed plenum of a xls-a bag from Unicorn Grow Bags.
